St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Preschool, in Pembroke Pines, Florida is seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant for the 2026- 2027 school year. This position follows the school-year calendar. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team to supervise students and facilitate age-appropriate activities. The candidate will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- CDA or FCCPC preferred.
- Completion of DCF Child Care Training requirements.
- Universal Precautions/Exposure Plan (DCF).
- Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome training.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong classroom management and supervision skills.
- Ability to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills.
- Strong spelling and grammar skills.
- Professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code, and strong work ethic.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive of the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church; prior experience in a Catholic environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the Catholic faith.
