Physical Education Teacher

St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the 26-27 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Physical Education students, grades K-8, support the Athletic program and coach after school games. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Education or Physical Education.
- Florida department of Education Physical Education K-12 teaching certificate.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Experience in teaching PE.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to be available after school for coaching games.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Strong presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
