Elementary School Teacher

St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified K-5 Elementary Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for grade levels K-5. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Education or Elementary Education.
- Florida Department of Education Certificate in Elementary Education, Grades K-5; temporary or professional required.
- Must obtain a catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
