Elementary Religion Teacher

St. Helen Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking to hire a full time Religion Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year to teach at the Elementary level. This candidate should be professional, disciplined and be a team player. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate Religion instructional program for assigned grades. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on education and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or related field.
- Florida Department of Education Teaching certificate is recommended, temporary or professional.
- Must obtain Catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Knowledge of tenets of Catholic Church and parish structures.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church, with experience in teaching Religion in a Catholic School.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing who fully adheres to and models the Roman Catholic Church teachings in faith and morals.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
