Annunciation Catholic School in West Park (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our talented, professional, teaching team for the 2026-27 school year. Our Pre-K teacher creates and implements interactive lessons plans aligned with the state standards; completes Pre-K assessments; maintains a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized; and is professional, caring, compassionate, and dedicated to the well-being of our students. This person will also have direct communication with parents, and fostering a good rapport is a necessity to our students’ development. The teacher is expected to be knowledgeable in and ensure compliance with all licensing guidelines, along with those set forth by the Archdiocese of Miami. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with education and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary level. OR State certified 45 hours Childcare training or Staff Credential with Department of Children and Families is required.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- 2 years’ experience working in a Pre-K classroom preferred.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience or familiarity with Creative Curriculum, a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
