St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar (Broward County), Florida, is looking for an energetic and creative 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. The candidate should be professional, disciplined and be a team player. S/he should be willing to take on extracurricular duties as requested by the principal. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for Elementary grade levels. The 2nd Grade Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
- Florida Department of Education Teacher certificate is required, temporary or professional.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
