Middle School Science/ STREAM Teacher

St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a full-time Middle School Science/ STREAM Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school science (grades 6-8), while integrating technology and incorporating project-based learning. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Salary: Commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Educational Science.
- Florida Teacher Certification is required, temporary or professional.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- 1 year of experience in teaching Middle School and/or High School Science.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google (Docs, Drive, and Sheets).
- Strong presentation skills with skill in the use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
