Middle School Teacher Math and Science

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic School in Cutler Bay, Florida is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our Math and Science Department for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering academic excellence while supporting the spiritual and moral development of students in a Catholic school environment. The teacher performs duties and responsibities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing engaging instruction in middle school Math and Science courses.
- Must be knowledgeable in the levels of middle school math.
- Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Utilizing data analysis to inform instruction and support student achievement.
- Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with faculty to integrate interdisciplinary STEM initiatives into the curriculum.
- Supporting the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, Science (master’s degree encouraged).
- Valid teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain certification in Florida)
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
