Primary Education Teacher

St. John Neumann Catholic School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida is seeking a full-time qualified Primary Education Teacher for the 2026-27 academic school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, design, organize, and implement instruction for primary education students that will motivate and engage all learners. The applicant must be a qualified and dynamic educator that will cultivate a classroom culture that fosters critical thinking skills while implementing cross-curricular units. The Primary education teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and St. John Neumann School. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Primary or Elementary Education; master’s degree preferred.
- Florida Department of Education Teacher Certification in Primary or Elementary Education; temporary or professional required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ related experience, including elementary education teaching experience.
- Excellent classroom management and program organizational skills, excellent attendance ethics, and high level of professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability with technology skills needed for digital grade books and digital lessons.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church and able to integrate the Catholic worldview with the subject area.
- Must have a professional demeanor and demonstrate positive teamwork practices within the professional environment.
