St. Jerome Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant provides attendance office services and clerical support to the front office reception. S/he may be assigned special school projects and miscellaneous support responsibilities for school functions, events, and activities. The Administrative Assistant provides information by answering phone calls, e-mails, and other forms of correspondence and by responding efficiently to requests. S/he also facilitates the flow of kids coming to the clinic for aid. The Administrative Assistant performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a clerical and/or school environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning files and sensitive information.
- Must demonstrate a positive, welcoming and service-oriented disposition.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
- Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
- Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
- Must be supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic School.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
