Reading Interventionist

Holy Family Catholic School, in North Miami, Florida, is hiring for a Reading Interventionist. The Reading Interventionist (grades Kindergarten -3rd) supports early literacy development by providing small-group and individualized reading interventions for students who need additional assistance. This role includes assessing student skills, implementing evidence-based reading strategies, tracking progress, and collaborating with teachers to strengthen foundational reading achievement. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED required.
- 5 or more years of Experience.
- Strong technology skills for supporting instruction (Interactive whiteboards, document cameras, educational apps, and digital resources).
- Experience with online literacy platforms and interventional tools (e.g., i-Ready, ixl).
- Woking knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated knowledge of early literacy development, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Experience providing small-group and/or one-on-one reading interventions for primary grades (K-3).
- Ability to use student assessment data to plan instruction and monitor progress.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills appropriate for young learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and families.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate student records and intervention documentation.
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting academic growth.
