Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Miami, Florida is seeking a certified, full-time Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for the current 2025-26 school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, designing instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and the ability to develop thematic units. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Early Childhood education/Child development or related field preferred.
- State certified childcare training with Department of Children and Families is required.
- Able to work collaboratively with peers to promote age-appropriate best practices in early childhood education.
- Able to provide a hands-on approach enabling children to discover, learn, and critically solve problems about the world.
- Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Flexibility in assessing needs and strategies and adapting appropriately in a ministerial environment.
- Ability to collaborate in professional learning communities to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction to result in high levels of student achievement.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
