TV Production Teacher

Immaculata-La salle High School in Miami, Florida is looking to hire a qualified and experienced TV Production Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This candidate teaches entry level TV Production classes, and higher-level TV Production classes that produce the daily news broadcast of the school. The teacher will also mentor students at the highest levels for local and national competitions and make up part of the Sports Broadcasting team that live-streams select school sports events. The teacher is responsible for fulfilling the class curricula and evaluating and administering grades for students. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and tenets of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Television production, Graphics, or Broadcast Journalism.
- Proficiency with broadcast cameras and DSLR cameras, lighting, and visual/ audio recording.
- Skills in TV production using the following: Final Cut Pro X, Garage Band, Microsoft Office, and Apple Software.
- Experience in teaching at a high school level preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- FDOE Teaching Certification preferred. If not certified, the candidate should be willing to complete all the requirements for Professional Certification within three years of employment.
- Event coordination and organizational skills.
- Collaboration and leadership skills.
- Must have good classroom management and demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Computer literacy with knowledge and skill in the use of instructional technology, including iPads.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission, teachings and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have knowledge of tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
