Computer Science Teacher

Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School located in Southwest Ranches (Broward County), Florida is looking to hire a qualified and experienced educator for High School Computer Science. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program for High School computer courses, including a program that is aligned with the College Board for High School AP Computer Science Principles. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with experience in teaching at a high school level.
- Must provide at time of resume, a copy of your Florida Department of Education Teaching Certification in Computer Science grades 6-12.
- Excellent classroom management and demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Knowledge and skill with instructional technology, including iPads in the classroom.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission, teachings and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
