St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a Middle School Science Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school science (grades 6-8), while integrating technology and incorporating project based learning. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Educational Science.
- Florida Teacher Certification is required, temporary or professional.
- 1 year of experience in teaching Middle School and/or High School Science.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google (Docs, Drive, and Sheets).
- Strong presentation skills with skill in the use of instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
