Nearly 800 people filled St. Mary Cathedral May 30 for the Mass of consecration of the City of Miami to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Mass was coordinated by members of the Mission for the Love of God Worldwide. Those in attendance represented the many lay movements in the archdiocese, along with priests and religious from throughout South Florida. Also in attendance, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Jimenez and representatives of the City of Miami police and fire departments, including their honor guards.
