The North American Vocation Team of the School Sisters of Notre Dame invites young adults ages 18 and older to a monthly online evening prayer on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST) via Zoom.

Dates for evening prayer in the first quarter of 2023 are Jan. 24, Feb. 28 and March 28. More information and registration for the Zoom links is available at

The online prayer typically lasts about an hour. Participants experience evening prayer in the rhythm of the Liturgy of the Hours interspersed with faith sharing and/or other prayer styles such as Lectio Divina, Taizé or Contemplative prayer.

“Our online evening prayer has allowed us to connect regularly with sisters and young adults all across the U.S. and Canada,” said Sister Bridget Waldorf of the North American Vocation Team. “We enjoy sharing our daily communal prayer with those who are seeking to better recognize and understand God’s presence in their lives.”

The North American Vocation Team accompanies young adults as they discern God’s call while informing them about religious life and especially the mission and charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, an international community of almost 2,000 women religious founded in Bavaria in 1833.

The SSND mission is to proclaim the Good News, directing their entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent. Continuing the sacred work of their foundress, Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger, School Sisters of Notre Dame transform the world through education, giving special emphasis to women, young people and those who are poor.
