St. Patrick Catholic School in Miami Beach, Florida has an opening for a full-time Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. We ae seeking an energetic person who is dynamic and innovative with the ability to develop creative lesson plans that engages all learners and cultivates critical thinking skills. The applicant must be a dedicated professional who is willing to adhere to the mission, vision, and values of St. Patrick Catholic School and the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Education.
- FDOE Teaching Certificate in Social Science in grades 6-12; temporary or professional.
- Outstanding classroom management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Must obtain a catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Ability to collaborate in a professional learning community to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
