PT School Receptionist

St. Louis Covenant School in Pinecrest, Florida, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to serve as the first point-of-contact for callers and visitors to the school, while upholding school safety protocols. The ideal candidate is an ambassador for the school, presenting a positive, welcoming, and hospitable disposition while assisting multiple callers and/or visitors at the same time. The receptionist will be responsible for providing customer service for general inquires and visitors to the school, including students, parents, members of the community, vendors, and service providers. S/he will also be responsible for operating the main switchboard and greeting callers, assessing their needs, and directing them to the appropriate parties. This employee assists in other clerical and/or administrative tasks of the office as needed. The Receptionist performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:15a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary College or business-school coursework and one year of switchboard preferred.
- Must have the ability to present a positive outlook and demeanor while exercising composure and confidentiality in difficult situations.
- Experience in a customer service environment, preferred, school environment a plus.
- Must be proficient in data entry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written English and Spanish-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Skilled in navigating websites and email functions; experience with MS Outlook preferred.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic. Church: experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
