Middle School Math Teacher

St. Theresa Catholic School in Coral Gables, Florida is seeking a dynamic and qualified Middle School Math Teacher to teach grade levels 7 and 8 of math for the 2026-27 school year. The candidate will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Middle School Mathematics. S/he will also participate in Confirmation and Graduation activities. The Math Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and St. Theresa School. Salary is commensurate with years of experience and certification.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education; Math Education preferred.
- Florida Department of Education certificate in Math, grades 5-9; temporary or professional required.
- Two years’ experience teaching, required.
- Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
- Ability to work with junior high school students.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies; proficiency with Microsoft Office, iPad, and Gradebook.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
