St. John Bosco Clinic, a free clinic in Miami-Dade County, is looking for a compassionate professional that has a desire to help our community. The full-time Medical Assistant is responsible for taking vital signs, height, weight and other preliminary intake data gatherings to assist the professional clinic personnel (ARNP, MD). The Medical Assistant also assists during gynecology exams, performs ancillary in-house tests and vaccines as permitted by position and as ordered by the clinical professional, and is able to provide other assistance, as needed and permitted by certification. The Medical Assistant will also participate in the screening and registration process of new patients and assist with referrals to external providers. This position is required to also maintain certain reports related to patient services, make calls to patients and assist with other aspects of clinic operations. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and one evening per week to approximately 9:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent.
- Required: Medical Assistant certification or diploma.
- Experience as an Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience in Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Good English and Spanish language communication skills.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
