St. Agnes Academy in Key Biscayne, Florida, is hiring a candidate qualified to join our talented and professional team as a Pre-K3 Teacher for the current school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and develop thematic units. The Pre-K3 Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree with a major in prekindergarten/primary education (age 3 through grade 3) or bachelor’s degree with major in preschool education (birth to age 4) OR bachelor’s degree plus 40 hours of required DCF training for child care personnel.
- Professional Certification in Prekindergarten/Primary PK– Gr 3 preferred
- Experience working in a pre-school classroom preferred
- Current CPR course.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
