Pre-kindergarten Teacher (Full - Time)

St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar (Broward County), Florida is seeking a full-time Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for the current school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, designing instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and the ability to develop thematic units. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- AA degree in Early Childhood education/Child development or related field, preferred.
- State of Florida Department of Children and Family Certification and Broward County child care licensing is required, including completion of all VPK endorsement pre-requisite courses.
- Able to work collaboratively with peers to promote age-appropriate best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
