St. David Catholic School in Davie (Broward County), Florida is looking for a Middle School Math Teacher to join the department for the current 2025-26 school year. This person will be responsible for the supervision, instruction, lesson planning, assessing and maintaining data analysis skills of the students. This position is also responsible for collaborating with teachers in promoting interdisciplinary STEM activities into the core curriculum. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
- Must have valid Florida Department of Education Teaching certification; professional appropriate to the teaching assignment required.
- Demonstrated competence in teaching by current, thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter and the ability to communicate effectively with students.
- Ability to organize classroom learning and materials to maximize student time on tasks as well as motivate student learning.
- Use effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress
- Consistent disciplinary approach which promote self-direction and positive self-image and sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
- Experience with educational computer software including digital gradebooks and smart boards.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Google Workspace.
- Effective oral and written English communication skill.
- Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
