Good Shepherd Catholic School in Kendall (Dade County), Florida has an opening for a qualified full time K-8 Spanish Teacher for the current school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach all levels of Spanish. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program. The Spanish Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in Education or Spanish.
- Florida department of Education K-12 teaching certificate for Spanish.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience in teaching Elementary and Middle School Spanish.
- Excellent presentation skills in the use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
