Members of Archbishop McCarthy High School's class of 2024 applaud during their graduation, May 24, 2024. "A class so resilient that not even a pandemic could slow them down," states the school's Instagram post - something that applies to the nearly 3,000 high school graduates in the Archdiocese of Miami.
MIAMI | Nearly 3,000 young people graduated from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Miami this year, and 99% are college bound.
Here are some more statistics about the Class of 2024 — students who started out their freshman year wearing masks and eating lunch behind plexiglass because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As the Instagram post @archbishopmccarthyhs stated, we say to all the graduates: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Below are the pictures of the Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian for each high school.
