St. James Catholic School, a hidden gem in North Miami, is seeking a qualified and dedicated ESE Teacher / Interventionist for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is essential in providing targeted interventions, academic modifications, and leadership in special education services to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide student interventions and academic modifications as needed.
- Coordinate the school’s special education programs and services.
- Develop goals, objectives, and recommendations for student support initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff to plan, implement, and evaluate ESE programs.
- Serve as a liaison between school staff, families, and outside agencies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
- Assist parents and teachers with ESE evaluations and related processes.
- Act as a resource for information regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education.
- ESE certification required.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education with Florida ESE certification.
- Ability to design effective programs for diverse learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism in all interactions.
- Experience in a Roman Catholic environment is a plus.
- Supportive and respectful of Catholic values and mission.
- Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic Church preferred.
- Professional demeanor required, including adherence to dress code.
