Theology Teacher

Immaculata-La Salle High School, a private Catholic school in Miami, Florida is looking to hire a qualified and/or experienced Theology Teacher for the 2026-27 school year who has a deep understanding of Ministry and who will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for High School Theology. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in theology or related field from an accredited United States Conference of Catholic Bishops university/college or working towards attaining a master’s degree in theology or related field from an accredited USCCB university/college.
- Minimum one year of classroom experience.
- Demonstrated and varied teaching methodologies, and the ability to explain concepts in different ways using examples and analogies and/or a willingness to continue to learn in their teaching profession.
- Familiarity with iPad Applications and a willingness to work with such technology, creating multi-media presentations.
- Familiarity with MS Office, online gradebooks, and other online educational applications; he/she should have a willingness to work with such technology.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
