St. Kevin Shamrockers take first place at Music USA Festival

St. Kevin School's Shamrockers perform the "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" at the Music USA Festival in Universal Studios, Orlando.

MIAMI | Rousing performances of “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “God Bless the USA” won St. Kevin School a Superior First Place in the Open Show Choir Division at the Music USA Festival, held at Universal Studios Orlando May 12. 

The 32-member Shamrockers performed against seven other schools. Choir members are in grades four through seven, and led by Music Director Stephanie Smith and Assistant Director Elizabeth Barrueta.

Dorianne Martel, a fifth grader was the soloist for “God Bless the USA.”
