PINECREST | The Knights of Columbus' Our Lady of Guadalupe Assembly 3201, based at St. Louis Parish in Pinecrest, recently held a fundraiser for their Parish to Parish program.
The gala dinner and performance of Gershwin Classics by students in the New World School of the Arts raised funds that will go toward helping St. John Bosco Parish in Little Havana build a perpetual adoration chapel.
During the dinner, Archbishop Thomas Wenski also honored Dr. Edward Suarez, one of the medical professionals who volunteer their time and talent to serve the needy who come to the St. John Bosco Clinic. The clinic started out on the grounds of St. John Bosco but has since relocated to the grounds of Corpus Christi Parish in Miami. The clinic is funded by the Sisters of St. Joseph Foundation.
