DORAL | In order to help with the formation of young Catholics, the Knights of Columbus Council 8995 of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe has donated 1,000 rosaries to the students and catechists of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Miguel Ruiz, director of religious education, said he was very happy with the donation.

“Our council is proud of what Miguel Ruiz has accomplished with the CCD classes and the efforts he and his staff put into the religious education of over 900 children and young adults in our parish,” said Grand Knight Gilbert Lozano. “A thousand rosaries is a small token and as a council we pray that we can accomplish more for our religious educators. It’s a treasured mission of our council to help in this regard.”

Because of an exponential increase in enrollments over the years, a number that is expected to continue to grow, the Office of Religious Formation at Our Lady of Guadalupe requested assistance from the community and parish to meet the needs of the children.

The Knights of Columbus raises money throughout the year, which allows the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Council to order the items necessary to beautify the church and enhance religious formation.
