MIAMI | Students in St. Brendan High School’s Medical Science Academy recently experienced local marine life and explored the eco-system up close in the Florida Keys. They visited the Turtle Hospital in Marathon and spent a weekend snorkeling and tide pooling to collect specimens of invertebrates such as starfish, sea urchins, sea hares and sea cucumbers for study. Students also dissected a Southern stingray and a Bonnethead shark.
