‘Tweets and tricks’ at women’s meet
All Catholic women are invited to the 59th annual convention of the Miami Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, to be held April 28-30 at the Doubletree by Hilton, 100 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach.
The program features author and businesswoman Heidi Richards teaching “tweets and tricks” of social media at 7 p.m. Friday; continues with a Memorial Mass, awards luncheon and Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage Experience Saturday morning and afternoon; and concludes with a closing Mass Sunday at 4 p.m., celebrated by Archbishop Thomas Wenski at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Deerfield Beach.
The Mass will be followed by the closing banquet and awarding of scholarships to deserving eighth-grade girls who want to continue their education in a Catholic high school.

Legal pros invited to Red Mass
The St. Thomas More Society of South Florida invites everyone in the legal profession to their 28th annual Red Mass, reception and dinner, Thursday, April 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, 901 N.E. Second St., Fort Lauderdale. Archbishop Thomas Wenski will be the celebrant.
The reception and dinner will follow at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Crystal Ballroom, 2301 S.W. 17 St., Fort Lauderdale. During the dinner, the society will bestow its Archbishop Edward McCarthy Award to Msgr. James R. Dixon, a local priest and retired U.S. Air Force colonel. Judge Melanie G. May of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal will be the guest speaker.

Lay Ministry marks 40th
The Office of Lay Ministry will mark 40 years of serving the people of God with a bilingual Enrichment Day, Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SEPI (SouthEast Pastoral Institute), 7700 S.W. 56 St., Miami.
“Mission and Ministry of the Laity / Misión y Ministerios Laicales” will feature an array of speakers, including Guillermo Fernández, Teresita González, Father Fernando Hería, Msgr. Pablo Navarro, Father José Luis Menéndez, Antonio and Niní Fernández, Msgr. Chanel Jeanty and Rogelio Zelada. All School of Ministry students, graduates, lay ministers, teachers and friends are invited.

Celebrate Fatima’s 100th
As the Church marks the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, the Archdiocese of Miami and the Servants of the Pierced Hearts have planned a series of monthly events at different parishes.
The first one will take place Saturday, May 13, 2 to 9 p.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 2987 West Flagler St., Miami. Featuring prayer, meditations and adoration, this grace-filled celebration will end with a candlelight procession at 9 p.m. Subsequent events will take place as follows:
- June 13 at All Saints Church, Sunrise, from 4 to 9 p.m.
- July 13 at Sacred Heart, Homestead, from 4 to 9 p.m.
- Aug. 13 at Nativity, Hollywood, from noon to 9 p.m.
- Sept. 13 at St. Andrew, Coral Springs, 4 to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 13 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Doral, from 4 to 9 p.m., concluding with a candlelight procession.
