100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre as Cuba’s Patroness

Miami…(May 5, 2016) May 10th marks the 100th anniversary of the Proclamation of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre as the Patroness of Cuba. For this reason, a Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Thomas Wenski, will take place at Our Lady of Charity National Shrine (La Ermita) at 8 p.m. on May 10.  

The celebration will start at 7 p.m. when the Ermita will receive the statue of Our Lady of Charity that Pope Francis was given during his trip to Cuba. 

The celebration is open to the community and media.
