St. Bonaventure School's Children's Chorale hoist their trophies celebrating their first place win in the category of Elementary School Concert Choir at the Music USA Festival held at Universal Studios in Orlando. The choir also received a superior rating.
DAVIE | The St. Bonaventure School Children's Chorale was recently awarded Superior rating and first place in the Elementary School Concert Choir category at a national competition hosted by the Deltona, Florida-based Music USA Festivals.
E.L. Kleinschmidt, president of the Music USA Festivals, also credited St. Bonaventure with winning the Elementary School Grand Champion Award for Choral Music at the festival held April 21 in Orlando.
“You’ll be pleased to learn that Dr. Ysomar Granados and the students from St. Bonaventure Catholic School were well-received at the 2018 Spring Music Festival in Orlando,” Kleinschmidt wrote in a April 23 letter to the school’s principal, Lisa Kempinski. “Your students served as exemplary musical goodwill ambassadors for your school and community.”
“In fact, Dr. Granados' efforts in developing her group’s energy and talents were evident throughout their performance,” Kleinschmidt wrote. “Your understanding of how programs like the Spring Music Festival benefit students is greatly appreciated. We look forward to continuing our relationship with St. Bonaventure Catholic School and hope you’ll include us in your plans.”
Music USA Festivals is a non-profit organization promoting music education through quality evaluation. The festivals regularly attract top quality groups throughout the United States to perform and be adjudicated by leading music educators.
