Epiphany students win second place in spelling bee

Let's hear it for the spelling champs: Fifth graders Luis Lasa, Sophia Rodriguez, Lea Archambault, and Diego Tejera-Avila accompanied by their spelling coach Lucia Salas.

MIAMI| Epiphany School students competed in the Independent Schools of South Florida 10th Annual ISSF Spelling Bee and won second place out of 20 schools that participated in the bee.

The ISSF Spelling Bee is open to fifth grade students enrolled in an ISSF Member School. Each school selects its four best spellers to create one team to compete against other participating schools.

Epiphany's team consisted of Luis Lasa, Sophia Rodriguez, Lea Archmbault, Diego Tejera-Avila and Mario Antonaccio as an alternate, all under the tutelage of Lucia Salas.
