Way of the Cross through Miami streets

The annual Good Friday Way of the Cross through the streets of Miami will take place March 30, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the grounds of the Missionaries of Charity shelter, 724 N.W. 17 St., Miami. Parking for participants will be available less than a block away at Camillus House, 1603 N.W. Seventh Ave., Miami. This prayerful and solemn reflection of the Stations of the Cross will stop in locations that serve the suffering, poor and marginalized of our community. Support Christians in the Holy Land

Archbishop Thomas Wenski is asking Catholics throughout the archdiocese to be generous when the annual Good Friday collection is taken up in all churches March 30. This collection helps Christians in the Holy Land by supporting churches, schools and religious education programs, providing humanitarian relief to refugees in the area, and helping to preserve the sacred shrines. The funds are distributed at the direction of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Oriental Churches.

This free camp aims to help children deal with their grief and work through their emotions in a positive manner. It features educational and fun activities supervised by especially trained staff and volunteers, and allows children to meet others like themselves.
