Sistine Chapel Choir concerts canceled

The archdiocese has been informed that the U.S. tour of the boys’ Sistine Chapel Choir — also known as the Pope’s Choir — has been cancelled. This would include their July 13 concert here in Miami. The agency that had been promoting the tour will be contacting anyone who may have purchased an advance ticket for information concerning refunds. The Tickemaster website states that refunds will be given at “point of purchase only. Internet & phone orders will automatically be canceled & refunded.” 

 

Catholic Charities re-accredited

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. has been re-accredited by the Council on Accreditation for another four years. Re-accreditation is a tremendous achievement that demonstrates that the organization is recognized as a provider that continues to successfully implement high performance standards and, as such, is delivering the highest quality services to all of its stakeholders. Youth Ministry hosts summer gatherings

All adults who work with young people at parishes are invited to join fellow youth ministry leaders at a casual gathering this summer to share ideas, ask questions and generate ideas. The Archdiocesan Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry’s calendar for 2018-2019 will be distributed also. The four gatherings will take place by deaneries — geographic regions — but those who cannot attend on the date for their ministry gathering are free to attend another one.
