Blessed beasts

KEY BISCAYNE - In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Agnes Parish held an animal blessing Oct. 13 in the church plaza. St. Agnes Academy students brought their pets (real or stuffed animals) to receive the special blessing. Among the many animals blessed were dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, birds, rabbits, hermit crabs, turtles and even bearded dragons.
