St. Brendan Elementary Catholic School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida has an opening for a full-time Teacher Assistant for the current school year. The applicant must be nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to: support the learning environment, cultivate critical thinking skills, work collaboratively as part of a team, and lead small group lessons. The candidate performs the duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required. BS / BA Degree in Education preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Effective presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
