Housekeeper (Part-Time) / Blessed Trinity

Blessed Trinity has an immediate opening for a Housekeeper (part-time). This individual will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary office environment.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 3pm – 7pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and other areas of the rectory.
  • Clean area rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.

  • Taking clothes and priests’ vestments to the dry cleaners as requested.
  • Cleaning the Church’s sacristy and Confessionals once a week on Monday.
  • Washing ministers’ albs every other week or as requested.
  • Washing and ironing miscellaneous linens, purificators, corporals, and hand towels for the church. Assures that the washing of the altar linens is done according to the indications of the missal and that the water for the first wash is poured down the sacrarium or to the earth.
  • Assures that all vestments: Chasubles, stoles, albs (server/priest), amices, cinctures, humeral veils, palls are in good condition, cleaned on a regular basis and repaired, when necessary.
  • Take care of watering the indoor and outdoor plants.
  • Purchase groceries and household supplies to keep kitchen stocked. Purchases must be made in a cost-conscious manner, providing receipts to the office manager.
  • Other assignments as directed by supervisor.

Youth Minister (Part-Time) / Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doral

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doral has an opening for a Part-Time Youth Minister to provide vision and coordination for the parish’s efforts in ministry to young people. This person is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs and events to enhance and foster the faith formation of the youth. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry would work collaboratively with the pastor, and other parish staff. Coordinator of Youth Ministry performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: 15-20 hours/week; Thursday evenings; other evenings & weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelors degree or has completed the Archdiocesan School of Ministry; and significant experience as participant in School of Ministry, and/or catechist formation program; volunteer in parish ministry.
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies or related field or has completed the Archdiocesan School of Ministry; and five (5) years’ experience as an employee in a parish.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to convey effectively the official teaching of the Church in the areas of Scripture, doctrine, morality and spirituality with a demonstrated fidelity to these teachings.
  • Knowledge of church documents relating to youth ministry, particularly the1997 USCCB document, Renewing The Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry
  • Knowledge of current resources, processes and methodologies for youth faith formation.
  • Ability to initiate, plan, organize, implement and evaluate parish youth faith formation.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; Excel a plus.
  • Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
  • Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated comfort in multi-cultural setting required.
