Spread the word: Evangelization Summit ahead

MIAMI | The Archdiocese of Miami will host its Evangelization Summit 2019: Sharing God’s Love in Today’s Culture, on Saturday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Msgr. Edward Pace High School, 15600 N.W. 32 Ave., Miami Gardens.

The goal of the summit is to help ordinary Catholics engage in the “daunting, if not impossible task” of “sharing the truth of Christ” with others, said Stephen Colella, cabinet secretary for Parish Life.

Summit participants will begin the day by celebrating Mass with Archbishop Thomas Wenski. They will then listen to keynote presentations by Sister Miriam James Heidland of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, and Jared Zimmerer, director of the Word on Fire Institute. There will also be workshops presented by representatives of Alpha for Catholics, Sisters of Life, Parish Evangelizing Cell Groups, St. Paul Street Evangelization, the Neocatechumenal Way, and the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

The summit is open to any parishioner, especially those involved in ministry, who wishes to attend. Cost is $25 through March 8; and $35 from March 9 to March 14. Space is limited. Participants may register via this link: https://conta.cc/2VOaqFc.
