From Fatima to the World

To mark the upcoming centenary of the deaths of the Fatima visionaries, Sts. Francisco and Jacinta Marto, the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary will be honoring their memories at a Mass April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 2987 W. Flagler St., Miami. This bilingual event will mark the local kickoff of a worldwide celebration of the centenary, which will conclude Feb. 20, 2020. The evening will feature Mass, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer of the World Rosary for Peace, and consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. All are welcome. Liturgy is topic of Enrichment Day

The Office of Lay Ministry and the Office of Worship will host Enrichment Day 2019 with the theme, “Liturgy, the art of celebrating the faith of the Church.” The bilingual conference will take place Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at SEPI, 7700 S.W. 56 St., Miami. Attendance is part of the requirement for those studying to be commissioned as lay ministers in their parishes, but all Catholics are invited. Talks will focus on the new missal for Spanish Masses in the U.S.; the role of music in the Mass; the history of the Mass; and the connection between liturgy and evangelization. Speakers include Msgr. Terence Hogan and Father Juan Sosa, former directors of the archdiocesan Office of Worship; Father Richard Vigoa, current director of the office; Salesian Father Julio Fernandez-Triana, parochial vicar at St. Kevin Church, Miami; Rogelio Zelada of the lay ministry office; and Maria Perez-Rudisill, music minister at St. Matthew Church, Hallandale. Transformed in Love sessions set

The Office of Marriage and Family Life has scheduled two Transformed in Love weekends, for March 30 and 31 and July 13 and 14. This is the official marriage preparation program of the Archdiocese of Miami. Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day. Couples must attend both days to receive their certificate.
