MIAMI | St. Michael School's students celebrated Earth Day April 22 by combining two eco-friendly activities. They used recycled 2-liter bottles of soda to create terrariums, filling them with potting soil and flower seeds.

Each class, from preK3 through fifth grade, took part in the activity. They then hung the terrariums along a chain-link fence at the school, inside a soon-to-be-refurbished garden area, and along the open-air hallways in front of their classrooms, where they will be able to watch their flowers bloom, day by day.
