MIAMI | Fifth graders from St. Kevin School received their personal Bibles this year.

For the Bible blessing Mass held Sept. 25, all the fifth graders carried their personal Bible and processed into the church with a parent or someone special to them.

As part of the preparation for the blessing ceremony, the fifth grade class has been learning about the books of the Old and New Testament. During the Mass, each fifth grader introduced one of the books of the Bible.

It was a celebration of sharing the beautiful library of books that contain the Word of God.

With different books from the Bible in hand, fifth grade students at St. Kevin School celebrated the Word of God at a special Mass, where their personal Bibles were also blessed.
