PLANTATION | St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church held its first annual "One Body in Christ" International Mass Nov. 9. The noon Mass was concelebrated by St. Gregory's pastor, Father Michael Hoyer, Father Aldonny Varela, parochial vicar, and Father Eliseus Ezeuchenne, who helps out at the parish.

The Mass began with a parade of flags carried by parishioners dressed in their native costumes. Each country's name was also put in a basket on the altar so that Father Hoyer and the congregation could pray for all of the countries and their citizens, to foster unity, harmony and the love that is shared by members of the Body of Christ all over the world. The countries were also consecrated to the Blessed Mother.
