MIAMI | George Washington once said “an investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” That's exactly what 27 Law and Global Business Academy students from St. Brendan High did in April when they visited the Federal Reserve in Doral to learn more about its functions and operations.

Sophomore Esteban Sanchez said it was truly an eye-opening experience to learn “the functions of the Federal Reserve Bank and how it plays an important part in controlling the economy and regulating what is happening with our money."

Students had the opportunity to visit a vault where millions of dollars are kept. They also visited the museum illustrating the history of the Federal Reserve.

“The tour was not just educational but interesting and at times incredible when viewing the vast amount of money the Federal Reserve maintains,” said Law Academy Director Steven Piscitelli.
