DAVIE | Students and faculty at St. Bonaventure School prayed a living rosary Oct. 23, with students and faculty forming the actual beads of the rosary while standing in the center aisle and around the sanctuary.

After the rosary, Deacon Joe Pearce led the students in exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and benediction. He reminisced about his days as a student in a Catholic school and how they prayed the rosary every week for the conversion of Russia. "And it worked!" he said.

He told them that the rosary is all about knowing Jesus through Mary.

"We see Jesus all around the church, in the crucifix, statues, stained glass, in the Blessed Sacrament...but we often fail to see Jesus in ourselves and more importantly in others...even in the people we don't like," Deacon Pearce said.

He told the children that praying the rosary and recognizing Jesus in others will be their greatest contribution to society.

The St. Bonaventure Children's Chorale, under the direction of Ysomar Granados, led the music.
