CORAL SPRINGS | As part of their Lenten project, St. Andrew Catholic School students in the third and fourth grades decided to collect toys and books to give to children at Chris Evert Children's Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. The students collected more than 1,100 books and dozens of toys, games and baby necessities for children at the hospital who are struggling with temporary or terminal illnesses.

"The gifts gave St. Andrew's students a chance to spread God's love and share their blessings with others,” said fourth grade teacher Julia Matchanickal. "The fifth graders were generous supporters of the project and donated many of the books."
