MIAMI | Seven Belen Jesuit student athletes signed their national letters of intent to play sports at the collegiate level April 15.
“We are very proud of these young men. This signing day is a result of many years of hard work on the playing fields and in the classroom,” said Jerry Albert, head baseball coach. “All of them are outstanding young men, and they will be excellent Belen ambassadors at their respective universities."

- Josh Barditch (baseball) - John Carroll
- Marcello Hernandez (soccer) - John Carroll
- Andres Casariego (bowling) - Spring Hill
- Matthew Mullin-Garcia (cross country/track) - St. Joseph’s University
- Karol Vargas (football) - Allegheny
- Hector Formoso-Murias (crew) - Georgetown
“It is a great honor for the Belen community to have these athletes recognized for their stellar abilities,” said Jesuit Father Pedro Suarez, president of the school. “They are not only great athletes, but fine students and a wonderful representation of Belen Jesuit.”
